Young Tiger Jr.NTR’s upcoming movie ‘Shakti’ is likely to release on 31st March, 2011. The female lead of the film is Goa Beauty Ileand D Cruz.The film is touted to be a highest budget one with a whooping budget of 45 crores in Jr NTR’s career so far. Currently, filmmakers are busy wrapping up the final schedule of the film. The latest buzz is that Shakti Film’s Distribution Rights have been sold for a price of 8.5 crores in Ceded Area and filmmakers are planning for worldwide release on 31st March.

‘Shakthi’ is being made on the highest budget ever (in Telugu Cinema), highest technical values and highest number of locations. It is said to be a socio-fantasy film filled with loads of graphics.

Shakti audio launch on Feb 27?

One of the biggest visual extravaganza ever in Telugu cinema, Shakti is all set to make a big splash early this summer. After days of maintaining secrecy, the film’s team is going to reveal the film’s designs on February 14. Meher Ramesh, the director of the film, shared the news on Twitter yesterday. He revealed that the film’s audio might be held on February 27 or March 2 and the venue could be either Hyderabad or Guntur. The exact date of audio launch will be confirmed shortly. The film’s shooting began exactly a year ago on February 6 in Jaipur and after shooting in Hyderabad, Hampi, London, Egypt, Jaipur and several other places it’s all set to unleash its power on March 30. Jr NTR is playing the lead role and Ileana is the heroine. The film, which is touted to be a sci-fi and visual effects extravaganza, also has Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Manjari Phadnis and Pooja Bedi in important roles. Aswini Dutt has produced the film on Vijyanthi Movies banner.

Tollywood busy finalizing cricket team

The Celebrity Cricket league, which will comprise a series of cricket matches between Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood stars was announced recently. The teams are named Mumbai Heroes (Bollywood), Telugu Tigers (Tollywood), Bangalore Stars (Sandalwood) and Tamil Superstars (Kollywood). While Bollywood, Kollywood and Sandalwood have finalized their teams, Tollywood is still finalizing its team. It is reported that Ram Charan Teja, Nagarjuna and Junior NTR are busy putting a team together. The Bollywood and Kollywood teams will be spearheaded by Salman Khan and Suriya respectively. The Celebrity Cricket league will be held in the last week of January.

Warrant against Rajinikanth family

he XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate court in Saidapet recalled the bailable warrant issued against Mrs. Latha Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth Aswhin after the ladies settled a financial dispute out of court.

The warrant was issued on a complaint filed by businessman Sumerchand Bafna of Teynampet. According to Bafna, Soundarya and Latha Rajinikanth had obtained a loan of Rs. 20 lakhs from him in August 2009. They issued two cheques, dated December 1, 2010, towards repayment, but the cheques bounced. He filed a complaint on December 24, 2010 at the Magistrate’s court. Based on the complaint, the ladies were summoned to appear in court before January 19. Since they failed to do so, the arrest warrant was issued and the matter adjourned till yesterday. Latha and Soundarya did not come for the hearing yesterday also, which resulted in the court ordering the warrant to be executed by March 9.

To avoid the impending arrest, the matter was reportedly settled out of court. Sumerchand filed a petition later in the day to that effect and requested permission to withdraw the complaint, which the court permitted.

Noted Producer Venkat is producing the film on the banner of R R Movie Makers while G Srinivasa Rdedy is directing it. Anushka Shetty is playing the love interest for Nagarjuna in the film.

Hansika currently busy with kollywodd and in tollywood she is doing shooting for Kandireega opposite Ram and she will soon be cast opposite with Nara Rohith.

“I am glad that I am back in Tollywood with two interesting films. This year you will see me in more films. Couple of other films are also at discussion stage,” she said after unveiling a fitness boutique called ‘Curves’ in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

When asked about her fitness mantra, she said: “I do exercise for about one hour and take liters of water daily. But I don’t starve. I love curves, so I don’t go for excessive exercises nor do I want a size-zero body. Women need to have a curvaceous figure.”

Ram Charan in a Tamil Remake?

Dhanush’s (Rajinikanth’s son-in-law) ‘Aadukalam’ (Tamil) released for this Sankranthi bagged huge success. Telugu producers are now vying for the remake rights of the film.

The buzz is that Megastar Chiranjeevi is also impressed with the film and planning to remake it with Ram Charan. Sources say that Megastar is now trying to acquire the remake rights and talked to Rajinikanth in this regard. If this is true and things go accordingly, then the film is likely to be produced on Anjana Productions or Geetha Arts or Ghanta Srinivas’s new banner.

‘Aadukalam’ (which means playground) is based on cock fights. The film is directed by Vetrimaran and stars Taapsee Pannu in female lead. Released on 14 January, it received highly positive reviews
